A silver cup originally a gift from The Royal Thames Yacht Club to The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club on the 8th of May 2003 commemorating RVYC's 100 years,

Allocated 2010 to R.V.Y.C. Junior Race Team Sportsmanship
Reallocated 2026 to WAVES Outstanding Sportsmanship

The RVYC Waves Regatta Outstanding Sportsmanship Award recognizes a sailor or athlete who exemplifies the true spirit of sailing through integrity, respect, humility, and leadership both on and off the water.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
Nominees should serve as a positive role model and consistently demonstrate:

Teamwork – Supporting others and fostering a positive environment
Integrity – Competing with honesty and fairness
Leadership – Inspiring others through attitude and example
Humility – Showing grace in victory and defeat

NOMINATION DUE DATE
Nominations can come from sailors, coaches, race committee, volunteers or parents. All completed nominations must be submitted to the committee by 3:00 PM on the final day of racing
